Dr. Michael and Dr. Lauren Saltzburg laughed and socialized while my mother lay dying upstairs...

My stepfather, Dr. Michael Saltzburg, andour sister Dr. Lauren Saltzburg, were in charge of our mother's negligent medical care after her medical crisis in July of 2016. My mother and Michael had an explicit agreement that all life saving medical care would be provided in the case of medical emergency.

As a physician and her husband, Michael had complete control of her medical situation. Little did we know at the time, but he had every reason to want our mother dead - her money and his mistress. her estate worth millions would be fully under his control and he would be free to cavort with his longtime mistress, Kelly. Our mother also would no longer be around to limit his insatiable gambling addiction.

While my brother and I wanted to stay by her bedside after her initial life threatening health crisis crisis, Michael insisted that my brother Chris and I go home and that he stay with her alone. Only our sister Lauren - also a physician - was kept in the loop.  She had her own greedy financial motivations, which she made very plain after our mother's death.

We were completely unaware he was cheating with his much younger girlfriend, along with hundreds of prostitutes. If we had known, we never would have entrusted her life with him.  It turned out to be a fatal mistake.

Because she was intubated and on a ventilator, she could not speak. Miraculously, however, she survived and was completely lucid. The entire time she was on the ventilator, she was in extreme discomfort. I decided to come back to see her, despite Michael asking us to stay away. I found her severely emaciated, like a concentration camp victim. It was shocking. However, she was alert and able to write, and she was openly angry and frustrated with Michael for neglecting her medical care. I couldn't understand why she was frustrated, but she clearly knew something was very wrong.

Eventually, she was transferred to a hospice for long term care. My brother Chris repeatedly asked our stepfather Michael, that she be transferred to a special care facility for rehabilitation. Michael refused.

I told  my brother Chris I could not understand why she had never been given a feed tube – that's why she had such severe muscle wasting. My brother Chris asked Michael - a physician and her husband in charge of her medical care - why she had never been given the feeding tube while on a ventilator for weeks, and Michael shrugged and claimed he didn't know.

He's literally a doctor and her husband and was in charge of all her medical decisions and he supposedly never noticed she was slowly starving to death over 6 weeks while being tortured with a ventilator? All the while, he was conveniently pretending to be the devoted husband and communicating with his girlfriend, as he let our mother slowly starve to death in front of him.

A feeding tube is standard as soon as ventilation begins. Air, water, food - basic necessities of human life. Without nutrition, critically ill patients normally die within 10 days. Only in very rare cases would a critically ill patient like our mother, last several weeks. It shows how strong her body was and that there was every chance of a full recovery had she been given the life saving nutrition she needed to survive. As her medical decision makers, there is zero chance Michael didn't know she wasn't being given this life saving medical care.  I image he was shocked at how long she continued to live and had expected her to die much sooner.

In fact, there was no reason for her to suffer intubation on a ventilator without nutrition, because she was doomed to die anyway. Michael had every reason for her to die, yet he also had every reason to pretend to be the dutiful husband who didn't want her to die. Denying her the feeding tube while keeping her intubated with the ventilator - so she couldn't speak - may very well have been his most evil, diabolical plan to end her life in the most cruel way yet without casting suspicion. It's nearly the perfect crime.

It all makes sense now, how he trotted out his girlfriend Kelly just weeks after our mother died, pretending he had just met Kelly.

At the time it seemed shocking, but now it all makes perfect sense. My sister Lauren, also a doctor, was the only other person involved in her grossly or maliciously negligent medical decisions. 

And coincidentally, both Michael and Lauren showed the most callous disregard for our mother's life and memory after she died. Were they both complicit in making the decision to withhold basic medical care and slowly starve our mother to death?

Anyone, even myself with no medical training, realized within two minutes when I came to see her, that she had been starving to death the entire time she was intubated. It's the most cruel, suffering way to kill someone.

It all makes sense now as to Michael and Lauren's casually callous behavior after her death. Lauren actually told me directly, she was most concerned about protecting her financial interests with our parents estate. It seemed a bizarre way to behave so soon after our mother died.

Eventually, my brother Chris and I, and our children, were excluded and emotionally abused by Michael and our half-siblings, to the point we each finally complained. We were coldy and quickly expelled from the family and completely disinherited from our mother's sizeable estate and never spoken to ever again, nor were my children. Michael was busy spending our mother's money on gambling and prostitutes, his two favorite pastimes.

Even worse, both Michael and Lauren conspired to take away all of the grandchildren's college funds, the most sacred gift our mother had left for her grandchildren. The sickening greed is beyond comprehension. Lauren was emotionally abusive to both my children and my brother's children; it's no wonder my half-brother Mark had banned her from visiting his children years before. She is truly evil at the core.

There is no statute of limitations on manslaughter in the state of NJ. There may still be hope for me to avenge the cruel, disgusting betrayal of my mother's life, sacrifices and memory. One thing I know for sure is if the law doesn't avenge her death, karma surely will.

After contributing to our mother's tragic and untimely death (which I suspect was deliberate negligence to facilitate his relationship with his long time "Sugar Baby" and to gain full access to her wealth), he falsely claimed she died penniless and took total control of her multi-million estate, including even her grandchildren's college funds (which were established in each of their respective names).

All three of Lauren's siblings have cut off contact with her and also cut her off from contact with her six nieces and nephews. We don't agree on much as siblings, but we universally agree she is a toxic, greed-filled person who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near children. She set up her business, Luminary Cosmetic, to deliberately cash in on profits while neglecting the safety of patients by employing a skin aesthetician to illegally operate powerful medical lasers.
