Dr. Lauren Saltzburg Promoted Sciton Lasers: Why Was Sciton Training Unlicensed, Non-Medical Staff?

Sciton official staff trained Luminary personnel, at the New Jersey location, who were not even medical professionals at all, what to speak of being physicians, to use the most invasive ablative laser technology they had available to them. Dr. Lauren Saltzburg was also contracted by Sciton at various points to promote their laser devices to other physicians.

Given that NJ law explicitly forbids non-physicians from using ablative medical lasers on patients, it's certainly not a good look that Sciton knowingly trained unlicensed personnel to do even the most invasive laser resurfacing treatments.

The whole "wild west" atmosphere of the lucrative aesthetics industry endangers patients. Both laser device companies like Sciton, along with med spa owners like Dr. Lauren Saltzburg and Dr. Michael Saltzburg, should be held accountable for cutting regulatory corners for increase profits.  Patients should be able to relax and trust that any procedures they pay for are being done in accordance with regulations designed to protect their safety.

Laser treatments are frequently deceptively marketed as safe and noninvasive, yet they carry significant risks of harm.

There needs to be greater accountability for physicians in the medical aesthetics industry, including Dr. Saltzburg, who put profits ahead of patients' safety.

Unsuspecting patients seeking non-invasive skin rejuvenation are rarely warned of the risks and side effects.
