Tax Evasion? An Investigation Is Warranted

He Bought a New, Remote West Palm Beach Location With Runways for Private Planes 

Mirasol Country Club, the exclusive, gated community where he lived in Palm Beach Gardens, was tightly secured and each person entering had to show ID and name who they were visiting to come in and out of the manned security station. The high stakes, underground poker games were typically weekly and he also played at other locations during the week that were unknown to me. The authorities can easily request the Mirasol visitation records and investigate and interview those people who attended on Thursday afternoons.

For example, Thursday, December 27th, 2022 was one of the many days he hosted private poker. The Mirasol records will clearly show the names, driver’s licenses and other players who came to his house on that day – the Mirasol security checkpoint makes a record and takes the driver’s license # of each and every person who enters and leaves the gated community. 

Did Dr. Michael Saltzburg move to make it more convenient to secretly and securely host private poker games? His new property has a private runway that allows access to fly private planes in and out, undetected. The new property at 18580 Hiller Street, Wellington, FL 33414 is far more remote than the gated community at 179 Viera Drive in Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens, where he previously lived.

The IRS states, “The U.S. income tax system is based on the idea of voluntary compliance. Under this system, it is the taxpayer’s responsibility to report all income. Tax evasion is illegal. One way that people try to evade paying taxes is by failing to report all or some of their income. Sometimes people do not report income gained through illegal activities such as gambling and selling stolen goods.”

Since Dr. Saltzburg didn't even feel morally obligated to give his grandchildren their college funds, I kind of doubt he was reported the winnings from the illegal poker games to the IRS, as required by law. He admired "Poker Princess" Molly Bloom, but she got busted and lost everything. One would think a smart person would get the idea that's not a good path to go. But my ex-husband's father, who was a federal parole officer for years, told me, "One thing nearly all convicted criminals have in common is none of them ever thought they would get caught."

It's well known that Michael is an avid Poker player, check out his "World Series of Poker" profile. More than a hobby, it was his entire identity. The Hendon Mob Poker Database also has a profile on Michael Saltzburg.

He was also featured in the Atlantic City Press for his pursuit of poker wins. He also played underground poker for decades for as long as I have known him. Once our mother died, he apparently jumped into hosting weekly underground, high stakes poker games in his Palm Beach County,  Florida home.

Is Michael profiting millions of dollars off his ultra-wealthy, off-the-books gambling circle? Is there tax evasion going on? Racketeering? There are many angles he could and should be investigated from. He was previously federally investigated for serious financial fraud and got off.

Michael told me in the past his accountant used special software to crunch numbers to avoid any kind of IRS tax audit. Everything as a “write off” to Michael, whether a legitimate business expense or not.
